Upcoming N64oid Changes. What would you like to see?
Official changes for the upcoming n64oid versions I will list here.
We can discuss about these new additions and also discuss what we would like to see.
Current version is 2.6. Here is the upcoming changes:
007 goldeneye
We made a depth fix. So objects behind front objects aint visible no more
007 world is not enough
007 arm is completely visable
Plus hires crash bug fixed on some hires packs.
I would like to see improved compatibility and speed though.

controllers
It would be awsome to make the controls more customizable. You should beable to put the controls anywhere that you want on the screen

why???
I would like (and everyone else) to get more than just a handful of games to work. I honestly don't understand why he keeps adding all these features that no one is asking for. Who cares about rumble support and cheats and different pads, when 70% of the games don't work. Yeah a lot of games start up but always have game breaking glitches and problems. We haven't gotten a new title to work months. That should be top priority. But guarantee the next update will be another let down...we'll get different pads with our highly incompatible emulator. Cuz thats more important...right??

Plenty of games do work. Not all but plenty to keep us busy for a while.

Controlling your game with a Wiimote, Wiimote + Nunhcuck, Wiimote + Classic Controller is already able to be done.optimus wrote:I´d like wiicontroler with wiimote.
Download WiimoteController from the Market. Its free. Connect your Wiimote(s) through WiimtoeController. Then set up the buttons on N64oid.

Can I ask what the game was? Some ROMs WILL NOT WORK so test a different game.

Textures
Very nice to hear of the texturebpacks I like a little kick to my old school games. Really hoping for more cheat support if not manual additions. Texture pack for Smash Bros better work!

Seems to work for me. Very nice too. I do notice loading takes a little bit longer lol. (Especially when your texture pack is 55mb) This should improve once the emulator improves speed though.DaRebel wrote:Very nice to hear of the texturebpacks I like a little kick to my old school games. That will answer your issue. The developer is on top of things.
Re: Upcoming N64oid Changes. What would you like to see?
Hi there - latest update is great: there seemed to be another speed improvement (on Mario Kart at least).
Got to say though that the new control visuals are horrid - and the 'transparency' option seems to have disappeared!
I've hidden the buttons for now, but please would you be able to put in the option of using the original grey buttons as per your screenshots, and bring the transparency slider back?!

I noticed some speed improvements too in Mischief Makers.
I still have transparency though.. weird.

Re: Upcoming N64oid Changes. What would you like to see?
Since 2.6 update I don't have the transparency slider neither (galaxy s2) and I totally agree with Marcus btw . Besides I've posted in the Feature Requests topic on that subject earlier this morning .

I use WiimoteControler. Works fine with 1 -4 players on my Droid X.
Re: Upcoming N64oid Changes. What would you like to see?
Well....what I would like to see?
-Star Wars Rogue Squadron working, because it's a really good game (and I had it when I was a kid^^)
- The possibility to set a Z trigger button just over A and B buttons, it could of some help for some games, on devices with very few hardware buttons (example? => Goldeneye, Z is the button to shoot, having it at the top of the screen is not very comfortable. I use my volume hardware button for Z, but I sometimes push power at the same time when pushing Z, so black screen, etc. Allright, my HTC Sensation is poor in term of hardware buttons and mainly they are badly placed lol)

Re: Upcoming N64oid Changes. What would you like to see?
I agree that I liked the previous controls with a transparency option more than the outline controls. I don't really care which control style is used as long as transparency comes back.
I also agree that we need the ability to move controls around. The Z button is the most problematic - in Goldeneye I just use the other control layout (accessed in the game's start menu) which makes A the shoot button. But in Zelda, I have made my phone's back button the Z button, which is an improvement over the stock positioning but not great.
If iControlpad is not yet supported (don't think it is) then I would also like to see that.

Listen, i'm not trying to be a pain in the ass or anything like that. But i would even donate to you if you make a version who can run PERFECTLY SMOOTHLY banjo and kazooie. It was my favorite game and the only one that i really want to play...Right now I got a Samsung Galaxy S2, but it does constant hiccups apparently on banjo and kazooie...Please, i'd be VERY happy...Hope you find a fix...
DEVICE INFORMATION USED:
